Cindy David & Art Wachter
If you like acoustic blues and eclectic folk music, you will love Cindy David and
Art Wachter. From Bonnie Raitt to Mississippi John Hurt to
Chris Smither, Cindy and Art cover a wide range of blues and folk including their own
original compositions. With their passionate style and delivery, they continue to draw
a strong following.
Originally from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, now living in York, Cindy David has made her mark
on the local music scene. She was the bassist and vocalist for the notable folk rock
band the Moonbillies. She later joined in the raucous stylings of Jack Quigley
in Jacksontowne. She is also known for her performances with Mark Ottemiller
in the group Two Moody and has been the female half of a folk duo with Michael Arthur.
Cindy has an amazing voice and delivers a song in her own appealing style. Her performances stand
with the best of the best.
York County resident, Art Wachter, is a producer of The Wagon Shed
Concert Series and Open Mic. He runs an event production company in Baltimore, Maryland
and manages several national level musical Artists. You can hear him on NPR affiliate,
WPSU, as host of the long time running radio program The Folk Show. Art is
an accomplished fingerstyle guitarist and vocalist. He is a past winner in the guitar
competition at the Deer Creek Fiddler's Convention and took second place in the
East Coast Fingerstyle Competition in New York. He has performed with numerous
groups in past years including the Tallahassee Band, Backseat Drivers and Big Corral.
